3 principles Integrated – Whats in a name?

3 Principles Stands For McDonald’s 3 CORE principles created by McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc & his Operations and Systems Guru Fred Turner. Those 3 Principles are:

Quality

Service

Cleanliness

The 3 Principles may be stated as QSC but truly are in no particular order as each principle is as important as the next.

Quality means that we provide top quality food and beverages to our consumers. We do not compromise on a great meal! There is nothing worse than spending your hard earned dollar on poor quality food. Everyone has a favorite McDonald’s menu item, and when you close your eyes and imagine enjoying your favorite food or beverage item you remember it served at peak quality, fresh and delicious. – This is what we strive to deliver every time.

Service means that we provide friendly, fast, and accurate service to each and every guest.

The customer is not an interruption, he is the purpose of our work. We are not doing him a favor by serving him-he is doing us a favor by giving us the opportunity to do so. NOBODY has ever WON an argument with customer. A customer is a person who brings us her wants. It is our job to handle her desires profitably to us and the customer.

A combination of a bunch of quotes from people smarter than John R

Cleanliness is key. Remember when your mom would tell you to clean your room because your grandma was coming over? This is the experience we provide for our guest. If the customer were to request to come behind our front counter, the kitchen and back of the restaurant will be just as sparkling clean as the lobby and outside of the restaurant.

Quality – Service – Cleanliness is who we are. We are reminded of these core principles in our very name. If you don’t know what you are doing at work today then work on one of these things or all of them, and you will make a difference.
